Thank you. To the people saying that the racism was too much and that at the time it wasn't as bad as portrayed in the game, i have a few comments. It always did bother me about the game, but I just wanted to know your guys' opinions about this issue. Jeremiah Fink describes beforehand the girl that handed Booker the winning baseball was the 'prettiest white girl in all of Columbia', then makes a racist slur about the black woman on the stage by asking Booker if he's 'taking his coffee black nowadays' then laughing it off.
BioShock Infinite is the third game in the BioShock series, released in 2013. Was is inhumane for the characters to be like that in the game, yes, BUT people were that inhumane at the time. She immediately distrusted the second Booker she came across, but a pair of clairvoyant apparitions are trustworthy? I haven't played it but I've only read positive things. They didn't need to elaborate on Daisy because she is not the one who runs the rebellion. The year is 1912. Quite possibly one of the best games I've played, period. Source: BioShock Wiki Finkton Proper. Remember, the point of the game isn't to say slavery is bad. You become targeted by her army because in that world, because their Booker died. I guess since the scene plays out the same if you do throw the ball: Everyone scatters cause of the murder going on.But still, when I saw the couple that was a "holy shit moment" I was assuming there'd be a lot of comparisons with the "No Russian" bit of Modern Warfare 2.Maybe it's rose colored glasses about the past? Now not all Columbian's where racists. Infinite is closer to showing things in the mid - late 1800's and even that is a bit of an exaggeration. Rosalind and Robert may be brilliant, and Robert in particular may be on the ethical and sensitive side, but they were both born in the late 1800's. Your death sparked the fighting. All trademarks are property of their respective owners in the US and other countries. Infinite handled the issue brilliantly. As Levine himself said,Infinite did not try to show good or the bad side of racism,it just showed how things were in 1912.The detached, neutral look at racism was one of the best things about Infinite. © Valve Corporation.

Daisy Fitzroy's entire story arc, in my opinion, suffers from a bad case of That's brow-raising enough, but then there's Fitzroy's death itself. He finds himself sent to Columbia, a floating city that was once the pride of the United States before it went rogue and became a sovereign city.
First, it was established that the citizens of Columbia are in fact viciously racist.Second, if the game depicts Daisy "just as bad as Comstock" it doesn't need to "justify it again retroactively", it's already been established. And finally, the focus here and everywhere else in the game is not the rebellion, but Booker and Elizabeth getting out of Columbia.
However I have a personal question to discuss with everyone here. It just makes the point that if you squeeze someone in just the right ways, it makes them who they are.You see this very much in the Booker story arcs. The only reason the rebellion exists is because Booker armed the resistance to get to Elizabeth.
Booker is the one who arms the rebellion, he's the real Pol Pot figure of the game.To start with, the game depicts really only Comstock as being viciously racistThat's not true, Fink hosts the lottery in the beginning of the game which not only shows him as viciously racist abut also a whole bunch of citizens. But the game then tries to depict her as being "just as bad as Comstock" because her rebellion is violent, even though the slaves of Columbia literally had no other choices available to them, and we're supposed to feel bad that the fluffy, naive, innocent and funny-racist commonfolk are caught in the crossfire.
I completely agree that racism was handled correctly in the game. Just tell me what you think, your opinion is greatly appreciated.
We clearly see that some where not. In fact Law enforced segregation was ended until 1964.
When you first arive you see peacful places, stores that are on an honor system, clean streets and friendly people. It would be almost akin to the way China censors out all the atrocities they comitted from their internet.
