Their car, however, crashed into the suspect’s car and both were rendered inoperable.The suspect and two passengers then reportedly fled the scene on foot from the area of Shephard Road and Pine Ridge Road.As a result of the dogged police work by Medford Police patrol officers and Medford Police detectives, an arrest warrant was obtained for the arrest of the alleged shooter Jeovani L. Robinson.Medford Police were assisted by the Massachusetts State Police VFAS Unit (Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section), the U.S. Marshall’s Office, Boston Police Fugitive Unit, and the Massachusetts Parole Board Warrant Apprehension Unit in locating and arresting Robinson.As a result of the coordinated effort by these agencies, Robinson was arrested at 7:04 a.m. on July 2 at a relative’s home in Dorchester without incident. The Department is accredited by the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police.
