If you continue on the Wahkeena Trail you will see and hear the massive roaring creek tumbling steeply down the hill. At first, you will climb to a stone bridge near the base of Wahkeena Falls. Fairy Falls is a great, quick, afternoon hike close to Portland. Please be careful on this trail; it is not maintained and what guardrails remain will not offer much protection.
