We choose to build our notebooks from our laptops using Keynote, but whatever you may use (PowerPoint, Photoshop, etc.) The amount of time it took for the students to find the next page was ridiculous.

To put it simply, digital interactive notebooks are taking what you already do in the classroom, and engaging students even more by using technology to lead the way. You can throw out the glue, tape, coloring, and all the other stuff that truly scares teachers in the first place. The idea of creating live screencasts during class was born out of necessity when a student was absent for an extended time for a medical issue. Students strive to design solutions to these problems. This is a huge question I get all of the time. This frees up so much time! If you aren’t ready to go 100% digital, it’s okay.
