It clears away more than a few shop-worn misconceptions about Hamilton, gives credit where credit is due, and is both clear-eyed and understanding about its very human subject. This is the third book by Ron Chernow that I have read. He would really overreact to things, and the overreaction would get him into even more trouble. The book is named The House Of Morgan. Another book, The Warburgs: The Twentieth-Century Odyssey of a Remarkable Jewish Family, was honored with the 1993 George S. Eccles Prize for Excellence in Economic Writing. His other books include The Warbugs, The Death of The Banker, Titan: The Life of John D. Rockefeller, Sr., etc.In the year 2011, Ron Chernow was the winner of The Pulitzer Prize Biography. You walk into the theater, and there are all these fi gures from the 18th century. But then this same person is friends with Lafayette, who had been invited often to the court of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette, and John Laurens, whose father is one of the richest men in South Carolina. He received the prize for his book Washington: A Life. Ron Chernow was born in 1949 in Brooklyn, New York. I just enjoy the character of Angelica, and of course Renée has been so extraordinary in doing it.I always find it thrilling to watch the Yorktown scene because it captures the pride and the joy of the victory there, the way they jump up on their little soap boxes and they're beating their chests and they're saying "We won!
